Sam Bahadur opening weekend box office collection: Film registers growth, earns in double digits

Owning to word of mouth and positive reviews, Sam Bahadur, which opened in single digits, managed to take its total weekend BO collection to double digits.

Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur has picked up the pace after registering an underwhelming opening at the box office in comparison to Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal which released on the same day, December 1. Owning to word of mouth and positive reviews, Sam Bahadur, which opened in single digits, has managed to take its total weekend box office collection to double digits.

As per the early estimates reported by Sacnilk, the film earned ₹10.30 crore on Sunday, showing ₹1.3 crore growth after earning ₹9 crore on Saturday. On Friday, the film minted ₹6.25 crore. Adding the three-day collection, the total earnings of the film is ₹25.55 crore, giving it a healthy weekend.

Sam Bahadur had an overall 56.33 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday with maximum ticket sales for the evening shows - 74.12 per cent. 
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the early box office numbers of the film on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “#SamBahadur Sun/ Day 3 at national chains…#PVRInox: ₹ 4.65 cr #Cinepolis: ₹ 1.25 cr Total: ₹ 5.90 cr Fri: ₹ 3.60 cr Sat: ₹ 5.42 cr.”

Can Sam Bahadur pass the Monday test?

Meghna Gulzar's directorial Sam Bahadur witnessed a blow owing to a clash with Animal. However, from the second day, the film is showing promising results at the box office by registering growth in earnings and it is expected that Sam Bahadur will be able to pass the Monday test.

Sam Bahadur is Vicky Kaushal's biggest weekend for the year as it has collected more than Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (₹22.59 crore) and The Great Indian Family (₹4.15 crore). However, Sam Bahadur is not his last film of the year. Vicky will be closing the year with one of the highly-anticipated films Dunki, directed by Raj Kumar Hirani.
