The iconic duo of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit were seen together last in Karan Johar’s Kalank. The film saw them both team up after almost 25 years. Back in the 1990s, the two were rumoured to be dating each other. In 1991, they were seen on the covers of many tabloids and magazines. Here are some of the most loved movies of the duo.
1. Khatron Ke Khiladi (1988)
Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit were seen together for the first time on the screen in this 1988 hit film. The film also starred veteran Dharmendra, Chunkey Pandey and Shakti Kapoor in lead roles. It was remade in Telugu as Simha Swapnam. It is also speculated that the duo became quite close by the final schedule of Khatron Ke Khiladi.
2. Khal Nayak (1993)
Khal Nayak starred Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The film is about a terrorist who escaped from the cops. The action thriller was directed by Subhash Ghai. It was the second highest-grossing Hindi film of 1993.
3. Saajan (1991)
The 1991 romantic drama film starred Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan in lead roles. The film is about two friends who fall in love with the same woman. Saajan remains one of the top hit films by Madhuri Dixit. It was also the first time Salman and Sanjay teamed together.
4. Kanoon Apna Apna (1989)
Madhuri Dixit was seen in a supporting role in this 1989 hit crime drama film. The movie also starred Dilip Kumar and Nutan along with Sanjay Dutt. Even though the film was a commercial flop, it remains one of the most memorable movies of the duo. Madhuri Dixit teamed up with Dilip Kumar later in Izzatdaar as well.
5. Thanedaar (1990)
This 1990 action film starred Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Jeetendra and Jaya Prada in the lead roles. It was the fourth highest-grossing film of 1990. It is the remake of the Tamil movie, Anbukku Naan Adimai. The film is most remembered for the hit song Tamma Tamma Loge.
