Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi to star Hrithik with Alia?

According to several reports by media portals, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has approached actor Hrithik Roshan to be a part of his film Gangubai Kathiawadi. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has previously worked with Hrithik in his film Guzaarish which also starred actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Sanjay Leela Bhansali approaches Hrithik Roshan for his next film

According to reports from a media portal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has approached actor Hrithik Roshan for his next film titled Gangubai Kathiawadi. Official confirmation has sealed the fact that Alia Bhatt will be playing the lead role in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. The report also suggests that Hrithik Roshan has been approached to play the role of don Haji Mastan.

Gangubai Kathiawadi will mark two new collaborations. The first one being Alia Bhatt working with ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This duo was previously set to work on Inshallah which starred Alia Bhatt opposite Salman Khan. Although the film was shelved over creative and financial differences. If reports are to be believed this will bring about the fresh pairing of Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan.

Hrithik Roshan delivered two back to back hits at the box-office very recently. The first one being Yash Raj Films’ Super 30 and the second one being War in which Hrithik starred alongside Baaghi actor Tiger Shroff and Befikre actor Vaani Kapoor. Alia Bhatt is also busy shooting for her film Brahmastra where she stars alongside actor Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. Brahmastra is being directed by Wake Up Sid director Ayan Mukerjee and has been produced by Dharma Productions. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s last project was Padmaavat which was box-office success although the film received backlash with allegations of unauthentic content being displayed in the film. Now it will be interesting to see when an official announcement is done regarding the final casting of Gangubai Kathiawadi. Although fans of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Hrithik Roshan, and Alia Bhatt are already rejoicing over this news.
