Sara Ali Khan's Varanasi temple visit stirs controversy; Kashi Vikas Samiti objects

Sara Ali Khan along with her mor Amrita Singh recently visited Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi where she was seen performing Ganga Arti on Sunday. Sara Ali Khan shared pictures on her social media handle to give fans a glimpse of her visit.
However, and almost predictably, following Sara’s visit, Kashi Vikas Samiti raised an objection stating that y did t approve of her visit as she is a ‘n-Hindu.’ secretary of Samiti said that Sara Ali Khan’s visit to Kashi Vishwanath temple is “against tritions and established rms.”

He also said that entry of actor raises questions on security because re is a board outside temple that re “entry for ‘n-Hindus’ is prohibited.”

It was also reported that pandits from Kashi Vishwanath temple are upset with Sara’s visit. A pandit said that y appreciated Sara’s interest in Hindu tritions and religion but he said that facts will t change that she is a Muslim.

He also said that she should have t participated in rituals. Ar pandit reportedly defended Sara Ali Khan saying that she was t alone and was accompanied by her mor who is a Hindu.
