'Section 375 Marzi ya Zabardasti' released on September 13. Though the movie garnered massive attention online, it hit the box office at a slow pace. Section 375 movie was speculated to make Rs. 3 crores on the first day of its release. Unfortunately, the box office collection of the film was disappointing as compared to Akshaye Khanna’s last film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. Reportedly, the film made Rs. 1.45 crores on its opening day. Section 375 film saw immense competition from Sushant Singh’s film ‘Chhichhore’ and Ayushmann’s film ‘Dream Girl’ which were released around the same time. Ayushmann's Dream Girl made 10 crores on its opening day.
Did the film cross the single-digit radar over the week?
Ajay Bahl’s ‘Section 375’ starring Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, Meera Chopra and Rahul Bhat received positive reviews from the critics, but saw the first week to be slow. However, with all the reviews circulating around, the film was yet stuck on a single-digit mark. Section 375 made Rs. 3.52 crores on the third day of its release, and a round figure of 2 crores over the weekend. The film amassed a total of Rs. 8.04 crores over the week. Talking about Ayushmann’s ‘Dream Girl’, the movie made Rs.6.05 crores on the seventh day of its release, taking the charts to a total of Rs. 72.20 crores over the weekend. Comparatively, Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha’s Section 375 film has a long way to see. According to Taran Adarsh's recent stats, Section 375's movie box office collection finally made a total of Rs. 12.49 crores on Sunday. Will the movie make another 10 crores this week?

Section 375 movie review:
Section 375 movie is a well researched commercial film that highlights the sensitive issue of rape and talks about how the media frames different interpretations of it. This issue boils down to the fact - whether or not you can prove the true story in court. The plot of Section 375 revolves around the drama happening in the courtroom, where Akshaye Khanna dares to question the judicial system and society about this dreadful activity. The film motivates lawyers to tread the uncharted territories, that are often sidelined in the court.
