Shahid Kapoor and Pankaj Kapur's bond

Shahid Kapoor has reportedly always been very close to his family, especially his father, Pankaj Kapur. His parents Pankaj Kapur and  Neelima Azeem got divorced when he was very young. He then shifted to Delhi with his mother. Yet, he is said to share an amazing rapport with his father.

Shahid Kapoor is often seen spending time with his father and asking him for advice on almost everything that goes on in his life. Even with his busy schedule, the actor makes it a point to spend quality time with his ‘big daddy’.

In a recent interview, Pankaj Kapur opened up about his thoughts on Shahid Kapoor’s films. Reportedly, Pankaj Kapur feels that Shahid has been wise when it came to his career. He said that Shahid became a star first and then an actor. This equation worked out well for him.

Pankaj Kapur reportedly also called Shahid Kapoor one of the best actors from his generation due to films like Haider, Padmaavat, and Kabir Singh. Even when Shahid Kapoor's first child, Misha, was born, the senior actor was on cloud nine. He said that Shahid Kapoor’s family is now complete.

Earlier this year, Shahid Kapoor shared a post of himself and his dad deciding the details of Shahid’s new house. He captioned the post by saying that “Papa knows best”. He has always looked up to his father for advice. The duo had also shared screen space in the 2015 comedy film, Shaandaar. Fans loved watching the duo in action on the silver screen.

Shahid Kapoor will reportedly be next seen in another remake. He will star in Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Hindi remake of hit Telugu film, Jersey. Shahid Kapoor has reportedly started prepping for the role in the film.
