Shahid Kapoor to act in Jersey's hindi remake?
Shahid Kapoor is basking in the success of his recent film Kabir Singh, which is the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy. Fans might see him again in a remake.

Shahid Kapoor, who is basking in the success of Kabir Singh, has reportedly finalised his next project. Following his last choice which was the remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Devarakonda, Shahid has again opted for a remake. Reports suggest that Shahid will star in the Hindi remake of Jersey that features superstar Nani and debutant Shraddha Shrinath in lead roles.
Reportedly, post the success of Kabir Singh, Shahid wanted to focus on commercial mass entertainer films. He was approached for the remake soon after Kabir Singh released and it is said that he loved the script but was in two-minds on doing another remake. However, after taking his time, Shahid committed and gave a go-ahead to Jersey remake.
Shahid is currently on a break to spend quality time with his family and will reportedly start shooting for this film in December. The original director Gowtham Tinnauri is said to helm the remake. Reports also add that currently, the makers are rewriting the script according to the taste of the Hindi speaking audience and will announce the details in a month. It seems that that the female lead of the film is yet to be finalised. There are speculations that actors like Rashmika Mandana and Geetha Govindam are being approached for the film. The untitled Hindi remake will be produced under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and Geetha Arts along with Brat Films.

Jersey is a Telugu sports-drama film released in April 2019. The plot of the story revolves around a father-son duo. The father, played by Nani, restarts his career in his late 30's to fulfil his seven-year-old son's wish to get an Indian Cricket Team's jersey as a gift. The movie reportedly collected ₹ 48 crores at the box-office.
