Shahid Kapoor who is currently basking the mammoth success of Kabir Singh and who recently signed another Telugu remake Jersey in an interview with a leading media publication spoke about how family changed him and how sometimes he 'struggles' with it. Claiming that he was quite 'self-oriented' before becoming a father he said, "When I became a parent, I realized I was actually damn selfish. Now I don't put myself first. You end up thinking about your kids and family first. Sometimes it's nice. Sometimes it's frustrating because you do need to put yourself first at times. Every individual needs to have their own breathing space. I struggle with it. And, I think I need to apologise to my parents also for it"

Telugu film Jersey managed to grab the attention of audiences and critics for its unique cast. The story of the movie revolves around the life of a failed cricketer who decides to revive his career and pursue his ambition. Jersey delivers a heart-warming story and features a relationship between a father and his son. The sports entertainer roared at the box-office down South, raking in a business of 48 crores. Jersey is listed as among South Indian star Nani’s best performances, as it managed to garner appreciation from fans and critics. Nani had left no stone unturned to add authenticity to his character, as he had to undergo vigorous training sessions to portray the character of a cricketer. The actor took 70 days of cricket training to fit into the shoes of the character. Jersey also stars Sathyaraj and Shraddha Srinath in prominent roles.
Shahid is currently on a break to spend quality time with his family and will reportedly start shooting for this film in December. The original director Gowtham Tinnauri is said to helm the remake. Reports also add that currently, the makers are rewriting the script according to the taste of the Hindi speaking audience and will announce the details in a month.
