Actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to start prepping for his upcoming film Jersey. film is remake of a Telugu film of same name, and Shahid Kapoor will be seen in a cricketer's avatar in film. He took to Instagram and shared a picture as he started prepping for role. Shahid Kapoor can be seen with cricket paraphernalia like a uniform and a bat. actor has started training to brush up his batting skills to play role of a cricketer in film.

Jersey is story of a 35-year-old Ranji player, Arjun, a failed cricketer who decides to pursue his dream of becoming a part of Indian cricket team. film deals with challenges faced by character to earn spot in team and to fulfill his dream. It is a heart-warming story which emphasizes relationship between a far and his son. original film, starring actor Nani, was successful at box office and was directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who will be directing Hindi version as well. Hindi remake is scheduled to release in August 2020, and will be produced by Allu Aravind.

What's next for Shahid Kapoor?
Shahid Kapoor was previously seen playing role of a cricketer in Yash Raj films' Dil Bole Hippa opposite actor Rani Mukherji. Shahid Kapoor's previous film Kabir Singh was also a remake of a South Indian film Arjun Reddy in which he was seen opposite Kiara vani. film went on to become a blockbuster with its collection of over Rs 350 crore at box office. After a small hiatus, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up to face camera again with 'Jersey'.
