Shatrughan Sinha's Son Luv Quashes 'Unverified News' About Father's Health, Hospitalisation

Actor Luv Sinha on Monday thanked well-wishers for ir concern over his far Shatrughan Sinha's health, reiterating veteran star-MP is mitted to a hospital here after he developed a "strong fever" and not because he underwent a surgery.

77-year-old was taken to medical facility some time last week for an annual check-up as well. One should steer clear of "unverified news", Luv said.

"In regard to my far’s health I’d like to clarify that re was no surgical procedure, and one shouldn’t believe unverified news. "We took my far to hospital for his annual checkup, and because he h a strong fever. Thank you to everyone who has been concerned," he wrote on X.

Sinha, popular for '70s and '80s films such as Mere Apne, Kalicharan, Vishwanath, Kaala Patthar and Dostana, was earlier this month elected as TMC MP from West Bengal's Asansol in 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

On June 23, he and his wife, actor-politician Poonam Sinha hosted ir actor-daughter Sonakshi Sinha's wedding to her longtime partner and Double XL co-star Zaheer Iqbal. Previously, Luv h said Sinha was mitted to a private hospital here due to a "strong fever".

He also denied reports that veteran actor underwent a minor surgery. "My far h a strong fever and we decided to take him to hospital so that he could recover and we could have his yearly tests done as well. I have been going re (to hospital) every day, so (I) can tell you that re was no surgical procedure," Luv h said in a WhatsApp message to PTI.
