While talking about the incident, exclusively to Republic TV, actress Mahie Gill said, "I am in a state of shock right now. We were shooting since 7 o' clock in the morning and everything was going fine. All of a sudden, around 4-4:30 pm, 4 gundas turned up out of nowhere and started attacking. They were randomly hitting people. They came to attack me, I escaped to the car. I saw them hitting our director Soham Shah who was on the ground. He was beaten up so badly that he almost fainted. Our DoP went to save them and they attacked him. He has got stitches on his head. They broke the vanity van, hit another crew, my driver was hurt, he couldn't lift his hand, it was terrible. I had to take DoP to the hospital."
"We could have taken a video of it, but everyone was running to save their lives. The goons didn't even demand anything, there was no conversation, they randomly came and started attacking. They were armed. There were no guns, but they had rods and sticks. Anyone could have died the way they were hitting," she added.

"Even if we launch FIR they will be out in bail after some time, and nothing will happen. Only we will be fighting the case. So we want to take the issue to higher authorities. I want the Chief Minister to know about it and this gets viral," she stated.
"This has never happened in the industry. I think we consider Mumbai very safe. We shoot during late nights, but nothing like this has ever happened before," she added further.
