Sona Mohapatra is a renowned singer, lyricist and music composer who hails from Odisha. The singer is known for crooning some popular tracks in Bollywood like Bedardi Raja, Jiya Lage Na and Naina Nu Pata. The singer is married to music composer Ram Sampath. But she is also known for being opinionated and fiery when it comes to stating her views during the interviews or on her social media. The singer often gets embroiled in some controversies as she is certainly not the one who minces her words. Sona also faces a lot of trolls on social media but that does not stop her from putting forth her opinions fearlessly in front of the world.

Sona took a dig at none other than Sachin Tendulkar for praising the contestants of the reality show Indian Idol. She stated that Sachin was not even aware of her digital marketing team tweeting about the show. While many supported the singer, there were some who were also quick to troll her. She also accused the channel where the show airs of defaming her for stating her opinion fearlessly. 

Sona shook Twitterati when she accused singer Anu Malik on the wake of the #MeToo movement. Reportedly, Anu's name was embroiled in a controversy during the movement. Sona further lashed out at the singer with her fiery and blunt tweet. She even took a dig at singer Sonu Nigam who supported Anu during the whole fiasco.

Sona also took to share all the controversial reactions to her Me Too story on her Twitter. The singer also thanked everyone who supported her cause and views during the movement. She also revealed that her documentary ShutUp Sona was dedicated to all those who showered with support during this phase. The documentary reportedly showcases her journey where she had to battle relentless trolls when she had put forth her opinions on social media and her public appearances.
