Sona Mohapatra remembers Sonakshi Sinha delaying event; questions accepting 'mediocrity'

news of Sushant Singh Rajput's death reignited Bollywood nepotism debate and many celebrities have stepped forward to speak out on matter. Singer Sona Mohapatra spoke out her thoughts on Bollywood's favouritism and nepotism in an interview with a leing daily. She also revealed an incident with actor Sonakshi Sinha from a music awards show.

Sona Mohapatra on Bollywood Nepotism

Sona Mohapatra revealed that she once h to sit through a music awards show for six hours which should have been wrapped up in two hours. Explaining reason, she said that it happened because Sonakshi Sinha was t prepared and was having trouble reing teleprompter. singer ded that she kept thinking about how  audience is ''okay with mediocrity''.

She furr stressed that an actor was hosting a music awards night. Sona Mohapatra also recalled lineup for Coldplay concert in India. She said that Coldplay is a rewned musical band and 'sterling' linkup before ir performance included actors like Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, and more. singer furr said that AR Rahman was only music-related person in lineup. 

She furr questioned why audience was okay with actors hosting a lineup before a musical band's performance. She also stressed on kind of culture country is showing to entire world. Sona Mohapatra furr questioned if y are showing world that music industry does t have worthy live bands or singers. She ded that re is something messed with culture of entertainment industry where it rmalises such things.

Sona Mohapatra was furr asked if she agreed with people's opinion that re is also a music mafia in place. singer said that country is a nepotistic one. She also said that veterans of industry need to think it through before y say something because y are affecting entire country in grace that y exude. Mohapatra furr said that though nepotism is t illegal, she believes that people who support nepotism are ''digging ir own graves''. Sona ded that she has always rooted for a music industry independent of films.
