From starring in commercial blockbusters like "Dabangg" and "Rowdy Rathore" to receiving critical-acclaim for her performance in "Lootera" and "Akira", Sonakshi Sinha has come a long way. The actress took to her social media handle to address an important issue — trolling. 'Khandaani Shafakhana' star has always been body-shamed but with the powerful video shared by her, she sure gives a strong reply to the trolls.
In the video she says, "Let’s talk about the elephant in the room! For years I’ve been trolled because of my weight. I’ve never felt the need to react because I always believed i was #BiggerThanThem... pun intended. But on the next episode of @MyntraFS I asked the contestants to take to social media."
She further says, "But then I thought that even after shedding 30 kgs, they are still at it? That’s when I said, to hell with them. Because Sonakshi Sinha is here for a reason. I made it as I was and I have nothing to hide! Not my curves, not my weight, not my image. I am not a number on the scale and that’s what makes me bigger than them...pun intended."
Jaqueline Fernandez wrote: "Don’t worry these people are miserable who do this", Ranveer Singh dropped a comment: "Hard hard", Huma Qureshi also wrote: "Love Love" and Arjun Kapoor's sister Anshula also dropped heart emojis and wrote: "Love". Watch the video below -
On the professional front
The third installment of Salman Khan's Dabangg franchise is scheduled to release this December. While fans can't wait for the much-anticipated venture to hit the theaters, Salman Khan unveiled Sonakshi Sinha's look in the film with a new poster. Sonakshi who will reprise the role of Salman Khan's wife Rajjo in the upcoming venture can be seen carrying off a swag avatar in the new poster.
Clad in a floral print saree and a green check shirt over it, the 'Dabangg' star looks every bit the Rajjo fans will remember. Fitting into the role even more, the actor also donned Chulbul Pandey-like sunglasses, a pair of classic aviators, and posed beside her on-screen husband's bike.
