Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who kept their relationship private for seven years, are now man and wife. The couple had a civil marriage on June 23, followed by a lavish yet intimate reception which was attended by Rekha, Kajol, Tabu, Huma Qureshi, Aditi Rao Hydari-Siddharth, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Saira Banu, Vidya Balan-Siddharth Roy Kapur, Honey Singh, Raveena Tandon and more.

However, the highlight of the whole bash was the bride and groom having their first dance. They were later joined by Anil Kapoor.

A paparazzo shared a video of the newlyweds enjoying their first dance together. They were seen grooving to the reprise version of Afreen Afreen sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.  For the occasion, Sonakshi wore a custom red banarasi silk brocade saree from Raw Mango's textiles archives from the late 18th century. She accessorised her look with an exquisite choker, statement jhumkas and added a gajra to her sleek bun. Not to miss, her large diamond engagement ring. The actress completed her look with red bangles, bindi and sindoor.

Zaheer, on the other hand, looked handsome in an elegant white shimmering sherwani.

The newlyweds also danced to the dhol beats with Kajol. In a video, Kajol can be seen pulling out her camera and can be seen ing selfies and recording a video of dancing with the bride and groom.

Sonakshi and Zaheer got married in the afternoon in the presence of their family and close friends. In a video going viral on the internet, the actress can be seen walking down the aisle under the phoolon ki chaddar carried by his brothers and friends including Saqib Saleem. The couple had a civil marriage as per the Special Marriage Act of 1954.

The newlyweds posted their first pictures as husband and wife instantly after their intimate wedding. In the pictures, Zaheer is seen kissing the hand of Sonakshi, while she is smiling from ear to ear. Another photo shows Shatrughan Sinha holding his daughter's hand, as she signs the wedding papers.

The post's caption reads: "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs... leading up to this moment ... with the blessings of both our families and both our gods."

"We are now man and wife. Here's to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever," she concluded.
