Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal Wedding Exposes Strain In Families | Shocking Revelations So Far

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on June 23 at an event attended by close friends and family members. While prominent faces from the film industry turned up for the reception of the newlyweds, the actress' own brothers, Luv and Kush, were missing from the festivities altogether.

Even as the couple announced their wedding, a statement issued by Sonakshi's father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, raised eyebrows. "Kids nowadays today don't seek consent, they inform," Sinha said while addressing rumours of his daughter's impending wedding to Zaheer. This hinted that all was not well within the Sinha family. 

Recently, Luv Sinha confirmed that he did not attend his sister's wedding and revealed the reason behind his decision. He hinted at keeping a distance from Zaheer's family due to their dubious past. Shatrughan Sinha expressed displeasure over Sonakshi's wedding?

When an audio invite to Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding leaked online, Shatrughan Sinha reacted to the news and said, "I am being asked by people close to me why I am not aware of this and the media is aware of it. All I can say is, aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maap-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain (these days, children don't seek permission from parents, they just inform). We are waiting to be informed." It looked like the wedding announcement came as a surprise to him.

However, Sinha was seen at Sonakshi's pre-wedding and wedding ceremonies with his wife Poonam and the parents also blessed the couple.

Luv Sinha's shocking revelation hints at strain in family

Sonakshi's twin brothers Luv and Kush were missing from the actress' wedding functions. Luv recently confirmed not attending the event. He hinted at maintaining distance from Zaheer Iqbal's family because of his father's businesses and history.

He wrote on social media, "With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the “washing machine”. Nor was there a whiff of the groom’s father’s stint in Dubai….”

He then quoted a news article in Telegraph India and wrote, “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.”

Shatrughan Sinha distances himself from controversy  

Veteran actor and MP Shatrughan Sinha, who was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai a couple of days after daughter Sonakshi's wedding, said that he is staying away from the "controversy and confusion" created by a section of social media influencers and spending time with family and friends as he is nursed back to health. Some on social media had speculated about the actor's ill health just after Sonakshi Sinha's marriage to Zaheer.

In a more recent post on X, Shatrughan Sinha seemed to douse the fire stoked by his son Luv's comments about Zaheer's family. He welcomed his son-in-law to the 'Sinha Parivar'.
