Song remakes by Bollywood that were more successful than the original
Bollywood is currently hooked on the song remakes. Read to know a list of five Bollywood songs whose remakes have become more popular than the original tracks.

Remakes have always been a thing in Bollywood. There are remakes of movies from other languages like Hollywood and South Indian industry. There are also remakes of television series. However, recently Bollywood has taken to remake old songs, especially dance numbers. Here is a list of five such Bollywood songs which have gone on to become more popular than their original version:
Saki Saki
The original song was a part of the movie, Musafir. It introduced the new face of Koena Mitra to Bollywood. Although the 2004 song is a hit track, the remake featuring Nora Fatehi in the movie Batla House further popularised the song. However, Koena seemed miffed at the remix track and was reportedly of the opinion that such iconic songs should not be tweaked around.

Dilbar
This song from the 1999 release Sirf Tum featured Sushmita Sen in an iconic dance number. It was revived on the silver screen by Nora Fatehi in the movie Satyamev Jayate. However, unlike Koena Mitra, Sushmita was a sport and even posted a video of her shaking a leg to the new track on social media.

Ek Toh Kam Zindagani
Nora Fatehi featured in this remake too. The song is now a part of Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Marjaavaan. The movie is all set to release on November 15, 2019. The original song belonged to the film Janbaaz and starred the veteran actor Rekha.

Dheere Dheere
This song was a part of the soundtrack of Ashiqui which featured Rahul Roy and Anu Verghese. The song was revived as a music video and was reportedly shot in Turkey. Yo-Yo Honey Singh lent his voice to the track and featured Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor. The remake version was reportedly more popular than the old version.

Ghungroo
The original song was a ghazal sang by Pankaj Udhas. The movie has been revived as a party song in the movie War. The new track features Hrithik Roshan and Vaani Kapoor. Ghungroo is also reportedly the first song to be shot in the Amalfi coast.
