Actor Sonu Sood, regarded by many as messiah of many migrant labourers in India, who helped m reach ir hometown amid coronavirus-induced lockdown, ringed in his 47th birthday on Thursday. To celebrate his special day, actor anunced three lakh jobs for migrant labourers on his job portal 'Pravasi Rojgar'.
'Dabangg' actor shared two flyers of employment application and shared that jobs came with ditional benefits like PF and ESI. "On my birthday a small initiative from my side...3 lakh jobs tied up for Pravasirojgar.com. All se will provide good ws, PF, ESI, and or benefits," he wrote in caption. He furr went on to thank organisations that h partnered with him for initiative.

Besides labourers, he has also helped students and or people stranded in different parts of country amid lockdown.

Sonu Sood explains Pravasi Rojgar app
Kapil Sharma invited Sonu Sood as his first guest on ' Kapil Sharma Show' as shoot began after lockdown. On show, Kapil asked Sonu what prompted him to launch app. actor revealed that while arranging travel for migrant force, he would often enquire wher y will be coming back or t at all. To this question, Sonu received a standard answer that migrants would return only if y found a job or else try figuring out something in ir hometown. This got actor thinking and being from engineering background himself, he started working on a platform which could help people get jobs.

According to Sonu, application took 2-3 months to build from scratch. Through this platform, anyone from any state can upskill mselves or even find jobs in a different state. Sonu claimed that by time Kapil Sharma Show's episode aired, platform would have employed around 1-1.5 lakh people.
