Sooryavanshi trailer launch event took place on March 2, 2020. On occasion, cast and crew of film were seen talking about Akshay Kumar-starrer as well as or films from Singham shared universe. Sooryavanshi cast on Nirbhaya Rape Case 

During trailer launch event, cast of film was seen talking about its prequel film Simmba. In film, re is a moment when a girl gets raped by antagonist, and cast was asked about ir thoughts on Nirbhaya case. cast was also asked if y feel that  criminals behind this should get hanged immediately.

On this, Ajay Devgn said that such crimes should t be left without a verdict for too long, and rapists deserve a death sentence. Director Rohit Shetty agreed to this. Akshay Kumar, who plays lead in Sooryavanshi, stated that whole team is basically same, and y all share same view about this incident. In Nirbhaya case, court should severely punish guilty.

In a massive development, Patiala House Court, on Monday, has deferred hanging of convicts in Nirbhaya rape case till furr tice. Earlier in day, court had dismissed plea seeking a stay on execution sought by convicts Akshay Singh and Pawan Kumar Gupta. Subsequently, Pawan Gupta has filed for mercy from President Ram  Nath Kovind, which has been received by Home Ministry. Upon hearing case again, court has deferred hanging which was scheduled to take place on March 3 - Tuesday, at 6 AM.
