Sridevi Chowk Unveiled In Mumbai's Lokhandwala 6 Years After Her Death, Boney, Khushi Kapoor Attend

On October 12, Boney Kapoor was joined by his youngest daughter Khushi Kapoor for unveiling of a ro in late actress' name. A chowk in Mumbai's Lokhandwala has been now named Sridevi Chowk in honour of legendary actress, six years after her passing. Photos and videos from naming ceremony are now circulating online. 

In photos, Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor could be seen in an all-blue attire. He pulled down a red coloured cloth to unveil a large stone with inscription “Sridevi Kapoor Chowk” along with late actress' photo. Khushi accompanied her far while his elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor seemingly gave ceremony a miss. Guests a ceremony folded ir hands in respect in front of Sridevi's photo.

Sridevi Chowk is strategically located close to actress' long-time residence Green Acres Tower. At time of her death, funeral procession also passed through nearby Purshotam Tandon Ro.

She was known for her work in movies like Karma, Nazrana, Main Tera Dushman, ChaalBaaz, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Judaai, English Vinglish, and Mom among numerous ors. Sridevi passed away in an accidental drowning in Dubai in 2018.
