Stranger Things fans are celebrating the Stranger Things Day today on November 6. November 6 marks the day Will Byers, a citizen of a small town named Hawkins went missing. This date also marks the start of an adventure that has managed to floor the audience with its gripping plotline and undeniable chemistry between the cast members. Stranger Things Day: Story behind the celebration (Spoiler Alert)

Fans of Netflix’s show Stranger Things are celebrating the Stranger Things Day today on November 6. As mentioned above, Will Byers a normal school kid from a small town named Hawkins went missing on the night of November 6 in 1983. The Stranger Things crew has dedicated this to all fans of the show who made this show a worldwide phenomenon through their constant support via memes, illustrations, videos, fan-art, and being a die-hard follower of the show. The official account of the show posted a video on Instagram regarding the same and even thanked their fans for following their show.

But what actually happened on the night of November 6 and why is Will’s disappearance so important for the show? All your queries end here. On the night of November 6, Will Byers was at his friend Mike’s place. Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas are four Dungeons and Dragons loving, school-going kids living in Hawkins. After playing their favourite board adventure game D&D, the Will, Dustin, and Lucas part ways to go back to their homes from Will’s place. Lucas and Dustin go together while Will’s house is on a different route. Will disappears on his way to his house or as the plot reveals further he gets trapped in the Upside Down. The following day, the news of Will’s disappearance hits this small town and more characters from this show Stranger Things are revealed. Winona Ryder plays the role of Will’s mother Joyce in the series, whereas Millie Bobbi Brown plays the role of Eleven or Jane in season three.

In the following seasons of the show, more characters are added to the plotline. Relationship angles between Mike and Eleven, Jonathan and Nancy, Lucas and Max are explored. Even Police Officer Hopper and Joyce have an unspoken relationship. In the third season of the Stranger Things, the Byers family move out of Hawkins along with Eleven. According to the fourth season trailer of the show, the premise of the season is not in Hawkins anymore. Also, the involvement of Russians in season three of the show also has a possibility of having a deeper involvement in death/disappearance of Hopper and the end scene from the season three finale.
