Stree 2 Box Office Day 1: Will Shraddha Kapoor Starrer Become Biggest Bollywood Opener Of 2024?

Stree 2 release is just a week away, and fans are erly waiting to see ir favourite pair Shrdha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao back on screen with more chaos and laughter. horror-comedy, even before its release, has grabbed attention of audience with its peppy song and a laughter-filled trailer.

Stree 2 eyes for bumper opening

makers have opened vance bookings of film a week before. As per Bollywood Hungama, Stree 2 is expected to surpass 50,000 ticket mark soon. Reportedly, film has sold approximately 40,000 tickets in top three chains PVR, Ix and Cinepolis. 

According to tre analyst Sumit Kel, Shrdha Kapoor starrer is expected to take an opening of ₹30-₹35 crore. If it turns out to be true, it will t only surpass Kalki 2898 and Fighter Hindi collections on day 1 to take top spot in list of biggest Bollywood openers in 2024, but will also become actress' biggest opener to date, beating Saaho.

makers also anunced that movie will be releasing in atres on August 14 with night shows which will begin from 9:30 PM. Along with poster, caption re, “Stree 2 - vance Booking Open w. Woh Stree hai, woh kuch bhi kar sakti hai! Isilye woh aa rahi hai ek raat pehle, just for you…#Stree2, legend returns on Independence Day eve, with night shows from 9:30 pm onwards on 14th August 2024.”

Will Stree, Bhediya and Munjya universe converge?

Ahe of release, Rajkummar opened up about possibility of Stree, Bhediya and Munjya uniting in a film. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rajkummar said "it is too early" to say if re is a plan for a movie where all four supernatural horror movies will unite. "But sure, that's reason this universe is building; that eventually, we can have that one big film where we will have a villain like Thas," he continued.

Stree 2 to have surprising cameos

Stree 2 is expected to have 3-4 cameos. Shrdha Kapoor has said that cameos are special and it will be a treat to movie buffs. Stree 2 is slated to hit atres on August 15. It will clash with John Abraham starrer Vedaa and Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein.
