Sunny Deol is currently basking in the success of his recent outing Gadar 2. The cast and crew of the movie organised a press conference today (August 14) to celebrate its success. In the conversation with the media, the actor spoke about a song from Gadar being mentioned in OMG 2, which released on the same day as the sequel.

Sunny Deol on OMG 2's Gadar connection
Comparisons between OMG 2 and Gadar 2 were inevitable as both films released on the same day. Amid this, fans spotted a Gadar reference in the Akshay Kumar film. In one of the scenes, while helping Pankaj Tripathi with a court case involving his son. Akshay Kumar can be heard crooning Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava from the film Gadar . The scene made headlines recently. Now, Sunny Deol has reacted to the same. Interestingly, the song is also used in Gadar 2.
At the press conference held in Mumbai today (August 14), Sunny Deol was asked about the scene in OMG 2. To this, the actor responded, “I have not seen the film, so I had no idea.” He was then asked if he avoided the film deliberately to which the actor said, “I have not even seen Gadar 2 properly”. However, a production crew interrupted the actor and talking about OMG 2, mentioned that, “It wasn’t planned, it was a surprise for all of us. Thank you to the team who did that.”

Sunny Deol compares Gadar franchise to epics
At the press conference, Sunny Deol also compared his recent film with Thr Ramayana and The Mahabharata. He said, “What was Gadar? The first Gadar was Ramayana. Rama ji goes to Lanka to bring back Sita. I thought this is Ramayana, this won't flop because it resides in the people's hearts.” He then added that the film’s sequel bears similarities with Mahabharata. He commented, “What if when Abhimanyu is stuck in the Chakravyuh, Arjun himself comes to rescue him? No one could've failed that story because it resides in the people's hearts as well.”
