Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are currently gearing up for their much-awaited film Gadar 2. Ahead of its release, the makers unveiled the film's trailer at an event on Wednesday. Talking about the film, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP shared a message which emphasised the importance of humanity and spoke about peace between India and Pakistan.

Sunny Deol talks about India-Pakistan conflict

Addressing reporters at the trailer launch, Sunny Deol conveyed a powerful message about humanity prevailing over hatred. He stressed that conflicts between India and Pakistan should not overshadow the peace and unity that binds both nations. He said that Gadar 2 echoes this theme, highlighting how the political blame game creates animosity between the two countries. He added that his character Tara Singh embodies the idea of peace and coexistence.  

"The essence lies in humanity, not in taking or giving. A conflict between the two sides should not prevail. It is the political blame game that creates hatred between India and Pakistan, a theme reflected in this film. Both nations comprise people who seek peace, as we are essentially one and the same," he said.

With the release of the trailer Gadar 2, fans were taken on a nostalgic journey back to the iconic characters of Tara Singh and Sakeena. Portrayed by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, respectively, the film picks up 22 years after the events of its prequel. At the trailer launch, the actors appeared dressed as their characters. While Ameesha sported a red sharara, Sunny opted for a saffron kurta teamed with white pyjamas, a black jacket, and a beige turban.

The duo posed for pictures in front of a truck which captured the essence of their characters' journey. They also danced to the beats of the dhol.
