Superboys of Malegaon had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13 and received a standing ovation from the audience.
Adarsh Gourav starrer Superboys of Malegaon had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13. The movie, which premiered in the Gala section, received a standing ovation from the audience. Helmed by Reema Kagti, the movie is based on the life of Nasir Shaikh and other amateur filmmakers in Malegaon, Maharashtra . It was inspired by the 2008 documentary titled Supermen of Malegaon. Apart from Adarsh, the movie also stars Shashank Arora and Vineet Kumar Singh in the lead.
Superboys of Malegaon Team get emotional on receiving a standing ovation
Several videos from the event are going viral on the internet showing the team getting overwhelmed by the responce of the audience. In one of the viral videos, Nasir Shaikh can be seen crying and hugging Zoya Akhtar. Adarsh, on the other hand, is seen hugging his co-stars. Reema is seen waving at the audience with a smile on her face.
In another viral video, the crowd erupts into cheers as the movie concludes. The team can be seen enjoying the response.
Next, the film is scheduled to be screened at the BFI London Film Festival on October 10 at Vue West End and October 12 at the historic Curzon Soho.

Adarsh shared a series of photos from the event that shows the lead cast, including Vineet and Shashank - dressed in black tuxedo. He also shared a photo with Nasir Shaikh, on whom the movie is based. "World premiere of Superboys of Malegaon," read the caption.
What else do we know about Superboys of Malegaon?
In the supporting roles, it stars Saqib Ayub, Manjiri Pupala, Anuj Singh Duhan, and Ali Abbas. It is made under the banners of Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Production. Superboys of Malegaon will hit the theatres in January 2025 and will be available on Prime Video post its theatrical run.
