As  Supreme Court is all set to deliver its verdict in petition filed by actor Rhea Chakraborty seeking transfer of FIR filed by  Sushant Singh Rajput's far in his death case from Patna to Mumbai, Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti had shared a prayer. Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Sushant's sister shared an im from Bhagwad Gita and wrote" ' Lead us from darkness to light'.  SC had on August 11 reserved its order in case. 

She also appealed that top court should prounce verdict at earliest, as people have been very hopeful and have been patiently waiting. 'Every minute of delay is causing pain and heartbreak,' she said.

Sushant's family's arguments

Arguing for Sushant Singh Rajput's family, senior advocate Vikas Singh submitted that Rhea Chakraborty who was in a relationship with Sushant 'distanced his family from him'. Singh claimed that till May Rhea had distanced Sushant's sisters from him but actor and his far had visited ir hometown toger in May. After ir visit, Sushant's far kept telling Rhea that he wanted to talk to his son but she did t respond. senior advocate also went on to say that Mumbai Police is t apprehending real accused in case and is heading in a 'completely different direction.' family lawyer also claimed that evidence in case is 'being destroyed' every day.

Rhea's arguments

Rhea Chakraborty's counsel Shyam Divan informed Supreme court that government of Maharashtra had filed an affidavit through Investigating Officer. Rhea's counsel told Court that IO said that 56 persons have had ir statements recorded and that investigation is going on in a free and fair manner.  Rhea Chakraborty's counsel told SC that re can't be executive actions that nullify Supreme Court’s jurisdiction and that case could be transferred to CBI if Court ordered so and t on recommendation of government of Bihar. He also added that Rhea was in love with Sushant and is in severe trauma after his death. Making a massive claim, counsel stated that late actor's far did t like Rhea.

Bihar govt's arguments

Bihar government's counsel Maninder Singh alleged that re is political pressure on Mumbai police to t investigate case and added that Mumbai police did t give  postmortem report to Bihar's investigating officers. He stated that  “pending proceedings” can be claimed by Mumbai police after y have submitted postmortem report.

Calling investigation by Mumbai Police a facade, Singh said that if anyone is examined after cause of death is revealed n an FIR ought to be registered, hence FIR in Patna is only FIR in case. He asked how did Mumbai Police examined 56 people even without an FIR and after postmortem report was out.

Maharashtra govt's arguments

Appearing for Maharashtra government, senior advocate and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi contended that Bihar government's interest in case is derived from impending state assembly elections due later this year. senior advocate argued that very basis of claiming jurisdiction by Bihar government is t satisfied in this case. He also echoed version Rhea's lawyer claiming that FIR by Sushant's far is an 'afterthought'.

Solicitor general's arguments

Appearing for CBI, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta questioned actions of Mumbai Police. SG Tushar Mehta began his arguments in Apex Court saying that statements in Maharashtra affidavit are 'misleading'. SG Tushar Mehta also asked if actions were to ‘protect someone’ while adding that recording of 56 persons in case were ‘irrelevant’ and that probe did t stand ‘test of law.’

Sushant Death Case

In its previous hearing, Supreme Court had granted Maharashtra government three days' time to submit findings of ir investigation in case, which Maharashtra government did in a sealed cover. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was allegedly found hanging from his apartment on June 14 with suicide te. case has been handed over to CBI after Centre accepted Bihar Government's proposal. Moreover, Enforcement Directorate is investigating financial angle in case.
