'Just the beginning': Sushant's sister Shweta thanks God & family as SC allows CBI probe

Sushant's sister Shweta welcomed the SC verdict saying 'First step towards the truth'. She also said that the family has full faith in CBI as it takes over case

Soon after Supreme Court prounced verdict in plea by Rhea Chakraborty and gave its d for a CBI inquiry in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has welcomed verdict and said it is 'First step towards truth'. She also said that family has full faith in CBI as it takes over investigation of her late bror Sushant.

'Full faith in CBI'

late actor's family has been patiently waiting for verdict in order to get justice for Sushant who was found de in his Bandra Apartment on June 14. On Tuesday Shweta h also appealed to top court to prounce verdict at earliest.

Taking to Twitter Shweta wrote  "Thank you God! You have answered our prayers!! But it is just beginning... first step towards truth! Full faith on CBI!! #Victoryoffaith #GlobalPrayersForSSR #Wearefamily #CBITakesOver".

SC gives d for CBI probe in Sushant's death case

Supreme Court on Wednesday prounced its verdict giving a d for investigation to be conducted by CBI. Maharashtra Government's option to challenge order prounced by Supreme Court has been turned down. Supreme Court has directed Maharashtra government to cooperate with CBI during investigation.

orders were delivered within minutes of single-judge bench assembling. Justice Roy h earlier held two hearings into Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of case from Patna to Mumbai. Former ASG Maninder Singh, appearing for Bihar government, h submitted that Bihar CM h t interfered in case and ded that recommendation for a CBI probe was based on vice of concerned authorities.

"In Maharashtra, re may be political pressure but t in Bihar. What are we hiding in this case? Maharashtra Police have t cooperated with Bihar Police in this case," Maninder Singh h told apex court.

CBI team rey for investigation 

Sources have informed Republic that CBI SIT team will leave for Mumbai after order comes in. Sources furr revealed that CBI team is waiting for detailed order from apex court. 

Meanwhile on or side, Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing financial angle in Sushant's case, has found inconsistencies in statements of Rhea Chakraborty and ors quizzed in case. Rhea has been questioned twice, and sources said that she may be summoned again. Her bror Showik Chakraborty has been questioned thrice, her business manr Shruti Modi has been summoned twice.

Sushant's family has accused Rhea Chakraborty of siphoning off funds to tune of Rs 15 crore from Sushant's accounts before his death. She h moved out of ir live-in relationship just a week before he died under suspicious circumstances in what was called suicide from state though numerous inconsistencies have since emerged.
