Taapsee Pannu to play a cricketer in an upcoming sports-drama?
Taapsee Pannu, who was last seen in Saand Ki Aankh, might soon step into the shoes of cricketer Mithali Raj; here are the details of this speculated project

Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu is setting box office on fire with her back-to-back hit films. Pannu, who was last seen portraying role of an octogenarian sharp-shooter in Saand Ki Aankh, might be seen playing cricket on field as captain of Indian Women Cricket Team. recent reports making rounds suggest that she has been in talks for an upcoming project based on life of ex-captain of Indian Women Cricket team, Mithali Raj.

A report published by a daily quoted information of project shared by a source close to project. report has said that though story is locked and script is under development, team has t decided that who will direct upcoming sports biopic. Giving details of project, report also said that if everything goes according to plan, film will go on floors by mid-2020 to take an early release in 2021. Talking about Badla actor, report also said that if everything falls in place, Taapsee will undergo rigorous training in cricket as part of her preparation.

Last year when PTI asked 32-year-old actor about same, she replied saying that she thinks it's too early to talk about it as script is t in place. Adding to conversation, she said that team is still collecting materials. Giving green light to project she said that if makers will offer her film she will accept it as she wants to do a sports biopic.

Game Over actor has already essayed character of a hockey player and sharp-shooter on silver screen. She is also gearing up to play lead role in RSVP’s Rashmi Rocket, a fictional story about a woman from Kutch, Gujarat who aspires to become a sprinter. Reportedly, she has wrapped shooting of Abhinav Sinha's upcoming directorial, Thappad.
