Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu who recently featured in multi-starrer venture 'Mission Mangal' is now all set to star in filmmaker Anubhav Sinha's upcoming venture 'Thappad'. After the film went on floors on September 6, Taapsee Pannu on Saturday, September 14, welcomed actor Pavail Gulati to the cast of the film. She shared a picture of herself with Pavail Gulati and director Anubhav Sinha on Instagram. Wishing Pavail Gulati 'Happy Birthday' in the post, Taapsee wrote, "It’s said that the better half brings the ‘better’ side out of u. Mr. Vikram Sabharwal in the house and Pavail Gulati all I can say is.... Finally! It was long due :) #HappyBirthdayToo #Thappad"

Taapsee Pannu's 'Thappad' Is Dedicated To The Women Of India
Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha took to Twitter on Sunday, September 6, and shared a picture of him and Taapsee performing inauguratory rituals of the film. In the post, he revealed that the film is scheduled to hit the theatres on March 6, 2020. Taapsee also took to Twitter and shared the post saying, "This year let’s make it even HAPPIER women’s Day! See you all ladies along with your men in theatres on 6th of March 2020"

'Thappad' is Taapsee Pannu's second collaboration with the director
'Thappad' marks the second collaboration of Taapsee Pannu with director Anubhav Sinha after 'Mulk'. The social-thriller which also featured Rishi Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, Rajat Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles, released on 3rd August 2018. It was jointly produced by Deepak Mukut and Anubhav Sinha.

What's next for Taapsee Pannu
Taapsee Pannu is currently awaiting the release of her yet another sports biopic 'Saand Ki Aankh'. The film which is based on the lives of world's oldest sharpshooters -- Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar also stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead.

Taapsee Pannu also announced her upcoming sports drama 'Rashmi Rocket' recently. The film will be helmed by Akarsh Khurana, who had last helmed the 2018 comedy-drama 'Karwaan'. It will be jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya.
