St. Xavier High School in Mumbai

According to an article on LatLong.net, all school sequences were filmed on location. production team was looking for a Mumbai school with an old-school feel to establish heaviness of being in a metropolitan school. y chose St. Xaviers School which is located in Fort, Mumbai. school is located on main ro hence production staff placed acrylic sheets on classroom windows to minimize background noise in scene where Ishaan was sent out of classroom.

In movie, Ishaan walks out of school unannounced on day he gets humiliated by teacher and his classmates and he is seen touring in city all by himself. Much of se shots were taken in South Mumbai area. This part consisted of locations from Flora Fountain when he walks out of school. n he is seen touring several places including end of Queen’s Necklace, Marine Drive, and outside of Taj Hotel. part where he is seen shouting outside bus window is on ro near Marine Lines.

New Era High School in Panchgani

second half of film occurs with Ishaan being sent to a boarding school away from his family. hostel part of film was shot in New Era High School (NEHS) which is located in Panchgani, a hill station town known as an educational center in Maharashtra. final scenes of drawing competition were shot in amphiatre of same school.
