Tamannaah Bhatia Defends John Abraham: Tamannnah Bhatia, who is playing an undisclosed role in the upcoming action thriller Vedaa, came out in support of John Abraham after he labelled a media reporter an idiot for asking him the reason behind him doing roles in the repetitive genre. The actress took to her social media account to pen a long note urging the audience to watch the films in theatres and also praised his co-stars. She assured her fans and followers that the movie which will hit the big scenes on August 15 is ‘more than just an action film’.

On August 3, days after the trailer launch of Vedaa, Tamannaah Bhatia took to her X (formerly Twitter) to pen a note for the film. She shared the trailer of the film with a polite mention of John Abraham, writing, “Don't judge Vedaa by its cover - Trust me when I say, it's more than just an action film! My friend @TheJohnAbraham, one of the nation’s favourite action heroes is bringing his incredible influence to a genre he's totally mastered. This time, he's telling a different kind of story through action, showing just how deeply this genre can convey meaningful cinematic experiences today.”
Tamannaah also took the space to mention that the film's director Nikkhil Advani has returned to filmmaking after a 7 year hiatus, which makes the movie even more special. Known for making films like Kal Ho Nah Ho, Katti Batti, Salaam-E-Ishq and Patiala House Advani's last directorial venture was in Batla House which was released in 2019. Talking about the the same the Lust Stories 2 actress mentioned, “What's even more exciting, personally to me, is that Nikhil Advani is returning to the director's chair after 6 or 7 years, which adds yet another layer of anticipation to our film. I can’t miss on mentioning #Sharvari here and how I just can’t wait for y’all to see her kill it on the big screen yet again!”
Tamannaah Bhatia confirms her role in Vedaa is ‘modest’
Shelling details about her role, Tamannaah mentioned, “Although my contribution to the film is modest, I'm genuinely soo excited about its release and to have partnered with John, Nikhil sir, Sharvari, Abhishekh Banerjee, and the entire crew of Vedaa. Our film promises to bring a fresh perspective to action films in our country, and I feel everyone would lovee to experience this new story on the big screen.”
Vedaa will hit the big screens alongside Khel Khel Mein and Stree 2 on Independence Day 2024.
