Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham tells story of an Indian multimillionaire family, which faces troubles and misunderstandings over ir opted son's marri to a girl belonging to a lower socio-ecomic group than m. When son elopes with girl and settles abro, his bror takes it upon himself to reunite family. He n plots a scheme and begins living in his borr's house without revealing his real identity.
