Kareena Kapoor's highly anticipated movie The Buckingham Murders has hit the theatres today, September 13. The movie which is helmed by Hansal Mehta revolves around a grieving British-Indian detective, who is assigned the case of a murdered child in Buckinghamshire. Now, the social media page is flooded with reviews of the movie, with movie buffs hailing the narrative and direction.

Movie buffs review The Buckingham Murders

A few hours after the movie released in the theatres, movie buffs flooded the X with their reviews. A user hailed the movie and wrote, "#TheBuckinghamMurders #Review #KareenaKapoorKhan Brings An Emotional Depth to a Gripping Crime Thriller Smartly Executed @mehtahansal Authentic Look & Setting of England Adds to the Narrative Highlighting Her Emotional Journey."

Another pointed out that the first half loses the grip but the climax brings it back. "#TheBuckinghamMurders : A SOLID INVESTIGATIVE THRILLER Please watch it in its original form & not the Hindi dub #KareenaKapoor is brilliant in every frame in a film that dwells deep on the journey of a grieving parent. Momentarily loses grip but regains it with its climax," read the post.

Another movie buff who is done with watching the first half of the movie, wrote, "Done with the first half of The Buckingham Murders an engaging take on unresolved grief and repressed anger through a police procedural. Kareena Kapoor is fantastic as the grieving mother and also as a tough officer."

What else do we know about The Buckingham Murders?

Apart from Kareena, the movie also stars Keith Allen, Ranveer Brar and Chris Wilson, in supporting roles. It marks Kareena's first production venture; she produced it alongside Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. During one of the promotional events, Kareena said that her role has been inspired by Kate Winslet's character in the miniseries Mare of Easttown. The film is in Hindi and English with 80 per cent of the dialogues in English.
