Multiplex Association of India took to Twitter to put out a public appeal to Government of India to reopen cinema halls once again. Multiplex Association of India mentioned that ir sector has suffered huge damages due to lockdown. refore, amid Unlock India protocol, y too wish to operate once again. organisation put out several such points to Government of India in an effort to restart cinemas and also save jobs that are at stake. Multiplex Association of India also started a hashtag named Unlock Cinema Save Jobs.

Multiplex Association of India claimed in ir appeal letter that y have been suffering a monthly loss of up to ₹1,500 crores. Following same, Multiplex Association of India claimed that y have lost up to ₹9000 crores in past six months of lockdown. Upon starting ir appeal with this statistic, y furr went on to point out that cinemas have been main form of entertainment for many people over years. Multiplex Association of India mentioned that atres in India account for over 10,000 cinema screens across country which directly employ over 2 lakh people and provide indirect employment to a lot more as well.

Multiplex Association of India also remarked that y have been facing extremely verse conditions. y continued ir remark as y mentioned that y were first sector to be shut down and will be last sector to reopen. Furr on,  organisation pleed with Government of India saying that several places like malls, airlines, railways, restaurants, gyms, to name a few, have alrey opened up. Thus,  Multiplex Association of India claimed that y too have a better ability to ensure crowd management in a hygienic environment.
