The Sabarmati Report BO Collection Day 2: Vikrant Massey Starrer Witnesses A Growth, Mints ₹2 Crore

Sabarmati Report Box Office: Vikrant Massey starrer has been receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences since it released on November 15. movie is based on Godhra train burning incident that happened in February 2002, involving Sabarmati Express. movie h a low opening but with positive word-of-mouth was able to attract audience to atres.

Helmed by Dheeraj Sarna, movie witnessed growth on second day of its release. It racked up ₹2 crore at Indian box office, early estimates reported by Sacnilk. ding two-day collection, total stands at ₹3.25 crore. Seeing trend, movie is expected to surpass ₹5 crore mark in opening weekend.

Sabarmati Report h an overall 26.63 per cent Hindi occupancy on Saturday with maximum reported in Chennai (48 per cent).

Before its release, movie was embroiled in several controversies owing to its plot. Starting with release date, movie was supposed to release in May this year but was later pushed to August 2 due to censor issues and Ranjan Chandel's (director of film) sudden exit. After several release dates, makers finally got certificate and announced date November 15. Apart from this, during an interview, Vikrant revealed that he h received death threats on social media targeting his nine-month-old son.

"se people know that I became far of a child nine months ago. My child, who has not even started walking, has been dragged. I am worried about his safety. What society are we living in? I feel regret, but I am not scared. If we were scared, n this film would have never been released," he was quoted saying.

Apart from Vikrant, Sabarmati Report also stars Raashi Khanna and Riddhi Dogra in le roles. film is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor.
