The Sabarmati Report Box Office: The Sabarmati Report witnessed less than 20% theatre occupancy on Friday. It is projected to open less than ₹1 crore on day 1.

Sabarmati Report Box Office: Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna play journalists in now-running movie. feature film is set in aftermath of Godhra train burning incident of February 2022 and is inspired by "true events". After promotions, Sabarmati Report released on big screens on November 15 but at box office, it has not been able to draw audiences, at least based on opening day collections.

How much did Sabarmati Report collect on day 1?

Sabarmati Report witnessed less than 20% atre occupancy on Friday. It is projected to open less than ₹1 crore on day 1 according to Sacnilk. morning shows began at less than 10% occupancy, which rose to 15.19% in afternoon and over 16% in evening. A jump on Saturday and Sunday will help movie score a healthy first-weekend collection. Sabarmati is projected to earn in same range as Vikrant's last hit 12th Fail (2023), which collected ₹1.10 crore on day 1. However, 12th Fail picked up pace after positive reviews and became a sleeper hit with over ₹56 crore collection in India.

movie is facing tough competition from Diwali releases Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again. latest big-screen spectacle Kanguva, starring Suriya, Bobby Deol and Disha Patani is also giving tough competition to Sabarmati Report. Vikrant's film is enjoying patronage in cinema halls in Hyderab, Lucknow, Delhi and Mumbai.

What is Sabarmati Report about?

Sabarmati Report, set in aftermath of Godhra train burning incident in 2002 is "inspired by true events". Vikrant will be seen as a vernacular journalist in thriller drama. At trailer launch event in Mumbai, 12th Fail star said, "We re newspaper and move on and this has become a norm. But this was our 9/11 which changed our socio-political fabric overnight," drawing parallels with September 11, 2001 terror attacks in New York and Godhra incident.

movie has received mixed reviews on social media. While some said that it is well-researched, or claimed that it lacks "nuance".
