The Sky is Pink: Priyanka Chopra film gets standing ovation in London
Priyanka Chopra's The Sky is Pink was hugely applauded at the BFI London film festival as it received a standing ovation from the audiences at the screening.

A distinction is often me between a ‘festival film’ and a ‘commercial film’ and how its audiences, box office performances are different, and how both have separate platforms that can’t be merged. A lot of times so-called ‘festival films’ don’t even have a proper commercial release. However, of late, difference between two kinds is thinning. And an example to this could be Sky is Pink. If response it has been receiving at international film festivals is anything to go by, team of Priyanka Chopra-Farhan Akhtar-starrer has a winner on ir hands. movie is t just being loved by audiences at se festivals, but it has touched m so much that y have been brought up on ir feet. se were same scenes witnessed when movie was screened at BFI Film Festival in London. While le actors were missing, director Shonali Bose was present at venue to experience impact film left on audiences.

Standing ovation for Sky is Pink
movie was cheered with a standing ovation when it was screened at Toronto Film Festival a few days back. And it was different at BFI London Film Festival as well. A video of moment after end credits rolled at event has surfaced on social media. Director Shonali Bose, dressed in a saree, is seen standing on st, as audiences stood and clapped for movie. Without a doubt, she’d be overwhelmed, since it appeared that t even one person was stuck to ir seats but conveyed ir appreciation. It seems Priyanka Chopra’s much-awaited Bollywood comeback is going to much wait.

Sky is Pink is story of a family of four, played by Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. Zaira’s character is based on Aisha Chaudhary, a teenr who me helines for becoming a motivational speaker after being diagsed with pulmonary fibrosis. How her illness turns around life of family is what story is all about. Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar’s love story and married life also play an important part of script. Priyanka is also one of producers of The Sky is Pink, along with Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala. Sky is Pink releases on October 11.
