The Bollywood film industry has many families that have made the industry a respected part of the global film industry. These families have given legendary actors, producers, and directors to the audience. Actors like Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Saif Ali Khan are all a part of major Bollywood families. Here are some of the strongest family legacies in Bollywood:

The Kapoor family

Prithviraj Kapoor’s family has been a major part of the Bollywood film industry for a long time. Prithviraj became a part of the industry in 1927. His children Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, and Shashi Kapoor then became path-breaking actors in Bollywood. Raj Kapoor’s sons Randhir and Rishi Kapoor acted in movies and were successful actors. Rishi Kapoor married actor Neetu Kapoor. Karishma and Kareena Kapoor, daughters of Randhir Kapoor, became famous Bollywood actors while Rishi’s son Ranbir Kapoor is also a successful actor in the film industry.

Bachchan family

Amitabh Bachchan has been a part of Bollywood from the year 1969. He married Jaya Bachchan, who was also an actor in Bollywood. She was known as Jaya Bhaduri before she married Amitabh. Their son Abhishek Bachchan also started his career in the film industry in 2000. Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot with Miss World 1994 and Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Boney Kapoor's family

This Kapoor family has also been a part of the Indian film industry for many years. Producer Surinder Kapoor’s children Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor are all major names in the industry. Boney’s children Arjun and Janhvi are also celebrated actors of the industry. Boney’s wife was the Indian beauty, Sridevi. Anil’s daughter Sonam Kapoor has also been a part of the industry since 2007.

Khan family

Salim Khan was a part of Bollywood as an actor, producer, and screenwriter. Salim’s sons Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sohail Khan are also famous names of the Indian film industry. Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma debuted in 2018. Salim’s second wife Helen is also a celebrated veteran actor.

Pataudi family

Actor Saif Ali Khan hails from a royal family, and this family is also an integral part of Bollywood. Saif’s mother is the Indian actor Sharmila Tagore, who married cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Sharmila’s daughter Soha Ali Khan is also a Bollywood actor and is married to Kunal Khemmu. Saif was married to actor Amrita Singh and then later tied the knot with Kareena Kapoor. Sara Ali Khan, Saif’s daughter, debuted in Bollywood in 2018.
