Raima Sen on nepotism debate

Speaking to Bollywood Life, Raima Sen said that she doesn't believe in nepotism and only the fittest can survive in the film industry. She added if the person is talented then one can become a star. The actress, who is a granddaughter of Suchitra Sen, said that despite being a granddaughter of someone, she faced a lot of rejections and didn't get the upper hand in the film industry.

"I don't believe in this nepotism debate, and only the fittest will survive, no matter whose daughter or son you are; if you are talented, you will get through it, and there is no such thing as if you will be so and so, daughter or son, you will become a star," Rima Sen added.

Helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, the medical thriller film is based on the true story of the COVID-19 vaccine in India. Apart from Raima Sen, the film also stars Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, and Anupam Kher, among others. In the film, Raima is playing the role of a journalist who is against the vaccination drive in India. Produced by Pallavi Joshi, The Vaccine War is marketed as India's first bio-science film. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 28.
