Vivek Agnihotri is gearing up for the release of his next big banner project, The Vaccine War. Of late the filmmaker has been sharing official montages, introducing the key characters of the film. With Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi and Raima Sen's character introductions already out, Agnihotri has now shared a similar introduction for Anupam Kher.

Vivek Agnihotri reveals Anupam Kher's character in the film
With The Vaccine War four days away from its worldwide theatrical release, Vivek Agnihotri took to his social media handles to share a character introduction for Anupam Kher's role in the film. Sharing a video montage, much similar to the previous character introductions released, Agnihotri revealed that Anupam Kher, a two-time national award winner, will be essaying the role of the Cabinet Secretary. The character introduction carried a line in Hindi, whose rough translation reveals 'India's belief in itself is eternal'.
Agnihotri's caption reads, "INTRODUCING: 2-time National Award winner Anupam Kher as Cabinet Secretary. "India's belief in itself is eternal" ADVANCE BOOKINGS OPEN NOW. 4 DAYS TO GO! 28 September 2023. #TheVaccineWar #ATrueStory @anupampkher (sic)."
Anupam Kher on not holding a meaty role in The Vaccine War
Taking to his X handle, Anupam Kher revealed how though he does not hold a meaty role in The Vaccine War, he felt it absolutely necessary to be a part of the story the film was trying to put across. He went on to elaborate how the film is primarily about women scientists and headlines the theme of "IndiaCanDoIt" - so when he was offered a special appearance in the film by Agnihotri, he was more than happy to oblige.
