How the song connects to the movie
In the video, Sidharth Malhotra is seen remembering his time with Tara Sutaria, who plays the role of 'Zoya' in the movie. Sidharth is seen taking a trip the down memory lane, thinking of the times he spent with her. In one scene, both Sidharth and Tara are seen dressed as bride and groom, but it is unclear whether they tied the knot or not. In the song, it is shown that both the actors fall in love from the moment their eyes meet in a market. Tara is seen using sign language to speak, which showcases the probability of her character being mute in the film. Towards the end of the song, we can see Sidharth pointing a gun point blank and shooting the actress.

Marjaavaan will be directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and is slated to hit screens on November 8. Apart from Sidharth and Tara, Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh will be part of the leading cast. Riteish Deshmukh will be seen as a dwarf, hell-bent to make Sidharth's life a living hell. This is the second film where we will see both the actors working together. The first movie they worked together in was Ek Villain. The movie Ek Villain had a similar premise where Riteish was trying to ruin Sidharth’s love life. The actors have started promoting the film already. Sidharth and Tara were recently seen at a garba event in Ahmedabad where they were seen in traditional outfits trying to learn garba steps.
