Filmmaker Rahi Anil Barve announces his trilogy - Tumbbad, Pahadpangira and Pakshitirtha
On Saturday, Rahi took to his Instagram handle to announce he will be working on a trilogy -Tumbbad, Pahadpangira, and Pakshitirtha. While its first installment, Tumbbad, released in 2018, he is now working on his second installment Pahadpangira. The director penned a long note opening up about his three movies and said he will start with the production work of the second part of the trilogy in March 2025 after wrapping up his ongoing projects Gulkanda Tales and Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom (starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu).
"For decades I have worked on this insane trilogy with many producers changing in between. First was the greed of patriarchy. My personal and much darker version of father, son and the holy ghost. The second deals with the dawn of feminism and holier than holy satipratha—Pahadpangira. Third, the end of this trilogy will be Pakshitirtha. That’s all I have to say for now.”
