'Unseen, unheard but still always near': Riteish, Genelia Deshmukh remember former Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh on his birth anniversary

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh remembered Vilasrao Deshmukh on his 74th birth anniversary on Sunday. Sharing the former Union minister and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s throwback pictures, the couple posted heartfelt wishes to convey how much the family misses him.

Riteish wrote on social media, “Happy Birthday Pappa...... I Miss You!!!” 

Genelia also posted a heartwarming te, “Those we love don’t go away.. y walk beside us everyday.. Unseen, Unheard but still Always near.. Happy Birthday Pappa.. Sometimes I just look up and Smile and Say “I kw that was you” Miss You 💔”

Abhishek Bachchan, Esha Gupta, Pulkit Samrat, Siddhanth Kapoor, Mushtaq Sheikh, Pulkit Samrat, Vatsal Sheth were among those who conveyed ir love for politician. 

Even Karnataka minister DK Shivakumar houred him on occasion wrote, “Remembering a visionary congressman, mass leer and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh on his Birth Anniversary today.”

Vilasrao Deshmukh was in helines recently when Union Minister Piyush Goyal stated that he was trying to get his son a role in a movie when 26/11 attacks were underway. Riteish h stated that he was present at Oberoi hotel, one of locations to be attacked, but denied it was at time of attack and also asserted that his far never tried to get him a role in any movie.

Deshmukh Sr h served as an MLA from Maharashtra for three terms and was a two-time Chief Minister of state. He was also a Union Minister in Manmohan Singh government, before he passed away in August, 2012.  Ritesh and Genelia h got married same year in February.
