1. Main Tera Hero (2014)

This film saw Varun Dhawan collaborate for first time with his far - veteran comedy film director David Dhawan. Main Tera Hero has several laugh out loud moments and was a showcase of Varun's untapped comedy skills. Varun effortlessly carried witty dialogues and physical humour that film's script demanded from him.

2. Dishoom (2016)

Dishoom was directed by Varun's elder bror, Rohit Dhawan. buddy-cop film saw Varun and fellow co-star John Abraham play two cops who have to trace down captain of Indian cricket team who is kidnapped. While John portrayed role of a muscular, -nsense police officer, Varun played role of a simple, affable police officer and provided many laughs in film.

3. Brinath Ki Dulhania (2017)

Brinath Ki Dulhania was follow-up to 2014 romantic-comedy, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, film reunited hit pair of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. As wealthy but extremely naive Brinath "Bri" Bansal, Varun Dhawan displayed ar knack for comedy and was widely praised by audience for his performance. 

4. Judwaa 2 (2017)

Directed by David Dhawan, this film was a modern-day remake of his 1997 film, Judwaa, which starred Salman Khan. Varun Dhawan slipped into Salman's double role for Judwaa 2 and played to gallery as ruffian Raja and lovable Prem.  most hilarious scene of film comes at end when modern-day Raja and Prem meet original Raja and Prem from Judwaa, with Salman Khan reprising his role.
