Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan grace screening of Ayushmann's 'Bala'

A special screening of Amar Kaushik's Bala was held on Wednesday and many Bollywood celebrities came out to grace the occasion. Bala is expected to have successful opening at the box office as the rest of Ayushmann Khurrana's films, and celebs like actors Sara Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Janhavi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz, Varun Sharma attended the preview to enjoy the movie firsthand. Khurrana is on a red-hot streak owing to the series of successful films he has been a part of.

Director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan also attended the screening of the film. Ayushmann's wife Tahira Kashyap also attended the screening in his absence. Ayushmann Khurana is currently shooting for his next film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan in Benaras.

Story of the hairline

Bala has been in the news for its unique storyline as well as for the many controversies surrounding the film. The film is a comical satire based on the story of a man suffering from hair thinning and eventual baldness. It delves into the psyche of the common man who has low self-esteem issues because of his appearance. The film also has actors Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam as the lead opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. The supporting cast of this film includes actors Jaaved Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla, and Seema Pahwa. Bala is set to release in theaters on November 8.

What's next for the actors?

Bala will mark Ayushmann Khurrana's third release of 2019 after Article 15 and Dream Girl. Both his previous films have received positive responses from critics and audiences alike. This film will also be actor Bhumi Pednekar's third release this year after Sonchiriya and Saand Ki Aankh. She is also currently promoting her upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh which also features Kaartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday in the lead. Actor Yami Gautam was last seen in Uri: The Surgical Strike earlier this year. She is currently shooting for Puneet Khanna's Ginny Weds Sunny opposite Vikrant Massey.
