Actor Varun Dhawan who recently completed shooting schedule of his upcoming film Jug Jug Jeeyo is all set to undergo intense training for his next filmmaker Sriram Raghavan directorial Ekkis. shooting of film which was scheduled to begin last year got affected due to ongoing pandemic. w, much to surprise of fans, film is expected to go on floors this year in September.

Talking about film, Andhhun director in a statement said,

“We have been prepping for film as much as possible. pre-production work has been on, but w we have to work around new scheme of things. Wear-wise, we would have liked to start film last September and wrap up by w, but lockdown just pushed everything ahe.”

director, who h earlier worked with Varun in Blapur, furr ds, “After completing his pending commitments, Varun will start preparing for his role in Ekkis from May this year. He has to lose weight, take training that’s meant for army officers, spend some time at National Defence Acemy (NDA) and go through grind to prepare for his role. We intend to start shooting in September 2021 and complete film by January 2022, because wear-wise it works well for film. That’s timeline we are following right w. In meantime, we’re also working out our plan for VFX of film and how scenes will be shot because we have to recreate a specific time zone.”

Ekkis will be produced by Dinesh Vijan under banner of Mdock Films. It is a story about Second Lieutenant Arun Kheterpal. Meanwhile, director is all set to make his digital debut with a unique web show that will be based on Kandahar hijacking by a Pakistani terrorist group. series will unfold atrocities involved in hijack that was done by Harkat-ul-Mujahideen in 1999. upcoming gritty series will showcase hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight AC-814 that forced India to release three terrorists in return for safety of 176 passengers and crew on board.
