The director Sham Kaushal’s son, Vicky Kaushal, has been awarded a National Film Award and a Filmfare Award till date. The famous actor was actually pursuing an engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. Later on, he aspired to become an actor and began pursuing his dreams. He assisted Anurag Kashyap on the sets of Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012. The actor was offered his first role under one of Anurag’s directorial ventures.

Masaan became world-famous and was also screened in the Un Certain Regard segment at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival where it earned two major awards. The famous New York Times Magazine regarded the film as an epitome of increased realism in the Indian Cinema. After Masaan, Kaushal was seen essaying the role of an unhinged cop in a psychological thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap called Raman Raghav 2.0.

Vicky Kaushal marked his name on the map of Bollywood after his performance in Raazi and Sanju. Both films were two of the highest-grossing films in the year. Vicky was the supporting actor in both films. He was also awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Sanju where he was seen playing alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
