Vidya Balan’s upcoming film Sherni is one of many movies that were halted due to Coronavirus related pandemic. According to a report by a leading daily, cast and crew of film are t planning to resume work on Sherni until monsoon season ends. Most of sequences in film have to be shot in outdoors, which is why director wants to put safety of his team above deadline.

Vidya Balan’s Sherni shoot to resume only after monsoon?

In wake of ongoing worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, shoot of all films and TV serials had to be suspended as a precautionary measure to curb spread of highly contagious virus. Vidya Balan starrer Sherni is one of many films whose shooting schedule has been affected by lockdown imposed in India. Since film is based on wildlife and incidents around it, cast and crew of Sherni had started working on film on March 3, which is also observed as World Wildlife Day. After three days of shooting for film in Madhya Pradesh, makers had to stop work due to guidelines issued by government. According to latest reports by a leading news portal, director of Sherni, Amit Masurkar, and team are t planning to resume work on film even though authorities have given a green signal to entertainment industry.

A source close to makers of film Sherni told leading daily that in movie, Vidya Balan would be seen playing role of a forest officer who wishes to find a solid solution to man-animal conflict. leading daily also reported that a chunk of movie has to be filmed in real locations, including forests of Madhya Pradesh and hence, shooting in rainy season would t be best option.

director of Sherni, Amit Masurkar, also told news portal that y cant shoot in monsoon. team is expected to make a decision in August when monsoon is halfway through. director also said that y did t want to endanger lives of people associated with movie, which is why y have decided to wait for a while.
