Vignesh Shivan receives legal notice for his film LIC - here's why

Vigesh Shivan is all over the headlines but for all the wrong reasons as his upcoming film, much before its release is slapped by a legal notice by Life Insurance Corporation Of India (LIC), who have expressed their dissatisfaction with the film's title.

What's wrong with the title of Vignesh Shivan's film title?

Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan's upcoming film LIC, which stands for Love Insurance Corporation has reportedly received a notice from the insurance company LIC. According to reports, the notice sent by the insurance company states that the insurance company doesn't want the film's team to go further with its title. The notice also had a warning for the makers that if they donh't change the film's name in the next seven days then they  could face legal action.

What do we know about Vignesh Shivan's LIC?

Love Insurance Corporation stars actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. Actor SJ Suryah also plays an important role in the film. The film was announced in December last year. Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan had taken to social media to share photos from the muhurat shot.

LIC also marks the first collaboration between the filmmaker and above mentioned actors. The film will be co-produced under the banner Seven Screen Studio and Rowdy Pictures. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander will provide music for the film.
