story revolves around an 85-year-old farmer Nallandi. trailer depicts life of a farmer in a distant vill in some part of Tamil Nadu. protagonist kws thing beyond his farm and mistakes a policeman in uniform for an electrical board staff member. While he charged with murder poor farmer asks if he can attend to his crops during court hearings.

Vijay Sethupathi plays role of an eccentric man whereas Yogi Babu is seen as a comic relief playing character of an elephant mahout. trailer tries to convey mess of last surviving farmer in a vill. trailer did t see clichéd portrayal of a hero delivering sermons on need for organic farming or an evil businessman trying to take away land of helpless farmers. trailer seemed like a new approach and is being appreciated by fans.

In an interview with a news portal, director mentioned that Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing role of a character named Ramaiah who is a devotee of Lord Murugan. director added that his role required a lot of physical work, such as climbing up hills. director admitted that if Vijay were to play a hero he would’ve told him to do all tasks without hesitation. However, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing a supporting character in film due to which director admitted to being hesitant and also feeling bad. He furr assured that regardless of role Vijay did what was best for character and did what was asked from him.
